Hello everyone...we are back! Anyone following our site knows that we have been very busy. It is official, as of this weekend, we are back to having normalcy in our lives...phew. I have a ton to write about, but I woke up this morning excited as can be. Why? Our love bugs are 20 months today. Hard to believe that in 4 months they will be two! Okay, literally I have a tear in my eye as I write this. I remember clear as day finding out I was pregnant with two, not one, but two. Adjusting to the emotions of wow, how are we going to manage this not having been parents before, financially, etc. The answer is simple...you just do in addition to all the love and support from those that helped us out weekend after weekend month after month; my mom and Steve's Parents! A huge thank you. Fast forwarding...before you know it they turned 1 and what an awesome day we had. Now, as I watch them run all around, interact with people, and just being themselves, we realize that even though there are challenging days that we never would trade it for the world. Hey, it comes with the territory when you have children and I feel so relieved that when I talk to other moms, that yep, we are normal. :) Although our new friend and neighbor, Melissa with the 20 month old, commented at how good they listen. I smile and say, oh give it time---it seems like listening skills fade out during the evening time, post dinner. :) But, I do have to say they listen pretty good and of course we have our moments like every other family. In any event, the boys always make us laugh, they make us tear up by being so sweet and loving, and most of all, they still continue to make us proud each and every day. It will be interesting to see how they have been progressing with height and weight. We don't take them until they turn 2. Additionally, we have been fortunate that I can count on one hand the times they have been sick and the two occassions were all under 1 year so we have not needed to make a lot of trips to the doctor, which is nice. Of course there have been moments when I had to question, are they acting this way because they are sick or what and have taken them in only to hear the doctor respond they are healthy as can be. I just smile as he says well, you know they are at an age when terrible two's CAN kick in. Great...and this was 4 months ago! :)
Well, the boys are boys so not much else to add right now of any NEW major milestones; they are just up to neat little tricks. For example, they now (not sure how or when they learned this) but will dump their toys out of these bins, flip them over, and then stand on them so they can look out the window. HA! Last weekend I noticed them doing this and asked Jack what he was doing. He just turns back to look at me walking towards the window. Our new house has stairs and they have amazed us at how well they are doing. They are not terrified at all. They were climbing up and then knew instantly to go down on their tummy since that is how they get off our bed and couch. There are moments I have to say that if they are trying to escape from a diaper change they go down extermely FAST...it actually is hilarious. Now, they like to hold our hands and use the rail to step down. Another thing they have been doing a lot more of is just coming up to us out of the blue to give us a hug and kiss. Melt my heart! In fact, just this morning I was kneeling down cleaning up after breakfast and Zach comes up from behind and put his arms around me with his head on my back. Talk about making a Mommy cry! Steve and I just love those moments!
Well, we didn't take a lot of picture since the holiday due to us packing up the apartment and making the big move, which I have a ton to post including remodel pics and an update of our move. I can add that we are settled and unpacked! Here are some pics of the boys I took over the weekend, including this morning as they were playing! Enjoy and until next time...
