Comfy Cozy

It always seems that if we are not at Ralphs (our grocery story) then we are at Costco. Last weekend while Steve was at Costco, he found these awesome suede chairs designed for toddlers. We had remembered seeing chairs similar at Babies R Us when we were registering for the baby shower that was like ages ago, goodness. We checked their website to compare prices and Costco was the cheapest. Plus they recline! We decided to go back and get them and boy do they love their new chairs. We plan to keep them in our family room in the new house. As much as they enjoy sitting in them to read books or watch Elmo Worlds, they also like to climb all over them. For the most part they will listen to us when we ask them to sit on their bottom, but just as I was telling Jack yesterday that we don't stand, he sat down on the arm rest and fell backwards off the chairs. Not a good sound as you can imagine there is not much padding under the carpet---I still cringe thinking about it but the good thing he is not hurt! I could not get to him in time because it happened so fast and that breaks my heart big time. The biggest challenge I have as a mother is constantly trying to protect them, knowing that one of us cannot be there in time; also knowing this will not be the last time they get hurt. We know that kids are kids and the more mobile they become the more accident prone. Thank goodness the chairs are small and so it could have been worse. In any event, so far aside from one minor accident, the chairs are working out to be a good purchase. To top it off, because we bought two, we got a discount! Steve and I are finding that although there are added expenses with multiples, we sometimes get some great deals. That does help! Here are some pics Steve took on his phone last weekend!
