Congratulations!!

Steve's dad has officially retired after 25+ years working at Abbott! Steve flew back home last Monday so that he could attend the Abbott Retirement Party in honor of his dad. It was nice he was able to do that. I stayed back to be home with the boys; things went well of course and the boys were so good for me! I am not sure what is on the horizon for Steve's dad, but I imagine it will involve a lot of R&R with of course golf! :) His mom is throwing a huge retirement party in honor of Harold, in fact it was this evening! We had planned on attending, bringing the boys, but after thinking about all that we had to pack for two days, and not knowing where we would be in terms of a house that we decided not to do the trip. Home will always be Chicago to us, and that we can fly back whenever, so we are trying to plan for a visit coming up.

Congratulations Dad/Grandpa! Now, start focusing on your golf swing...:)
