First Haircut - 7/13/2010 (13 months)

Okay, so I did cave in as their hair was out of control. They did so well. The boys’ former nanny, Sarah, came with us on this excursion. The destination of choice was Kids Snips; it was such a neat little place and what a great concept. They boys sat in cars with buckles. Upon arrival we were told to pick out a DVD. **The boys do not watch TV so it was pointless but hey, we thought maybe this time…not. In any event, I did bring their blankie and binkie just in case. Zach had it for about a minute and quickly yanked it away for hiding. At the end, their stylist took a photo showing off their first haircut. The cashier then attached it to a certificate with a small clipping of their hair. It really was fun and a great experience. Below are some pics!

Steve and I took the boys on August 28th for the 2nd haircut. Although kid friendly salons do exist in OC, they are a bit of a haul for us, so Great Clips was the place to be for this visit. This particular experience was different. Apparently they do not get a lot of 15 month olds..??? The stylist brought out a booster, not your typical booster. It did not really work as Zach was not quite sure what to think and was reaching for me the entire time. So, I ended up sitting down with him on my lap. Ahem, Zach was okay as well as Jack, but by the time we departed after two haircuts…I was full of hair. :) I attempted to snap pics of this moment, but again, unique experience the 2nd time around. We do have a photo Steve took of them during our afternoon walk sporting their faux-hawks…

While running errands last weekend, Steve found a barber shop so we will take the boys there for their 3rd haircut!!! Stay tuned...
