Mommy Time

I’m a bit behind in what I would like to title a very special post. It is not that often I get to have some good quality time with the boys. As I noted in a prior post, I had the opportunity to stay home with my boys last Friday morning. We had a fun filled morning and they were so well behaved for me. We started our day with snuggle time on the couch, drinking our warm milk. Yep, they still love their warm milk in the morning. J They enjoy this part of their day because it gives the chance to wake up AND I get to enjoy my cup of coffee.  On that topic, I love observing their expressions on how they wake up. If I am still sleeping, I usually am greeted by Zach first with a big smile...Mommy! Wake up [as he is patting my arm or waving hi in my face]! Or I could be downstairs in the kitchen and get greeted again by Zach with a smile. He will walk over to rub and hug my leg, Mommy…HI! I absolutely love it. Once Jack is up we can then get started officially with our day. Zachary will greet his brother the same way and you can tell that Jack requires more waking up…hmmm, gets that from Mommy. J He usually gives his brother a hug but on occasion will let him know that he just woke up...

They cooperated and we were moving on with our day in no time. I have to say we were out of the house by 9am. Our first stop of the day was TARGET! They have so much fun and they were good listeners and helpers. I did not take any Kodak moments because I was left carrying both baskets midway through our journey so needless to say my hands were full. J The only place they ride in the cart at is when we are in Costco---too busy.  They were really good and were able to pick out a new truck. Since I didn't have Steve's muscles, we stopped at home so that I could open up their new trucks. It was off to the park we went. Don’t worry---I made up for the lack of photos at Target. Before you know it an hour had passed and we were itching closer to lunch time and nap. I treated my boys to McDonald’s. Since the McDonald’s I took them too was close to San Clemente HS, it was sort of busy so we made our way through the drive-thru and brought it home. It was a fantastic morning. Not to mention they slept really good over nap, which worked out great since they were rested for our excursion to see KK that evening at Chili’s.

Here are some fabulous photos of my boys!

Jack...after I said show me your eyes. I think he was trying to be supportive of my desire to snap photos that afternoon but inside he was thinking Mommy enough.

Until next time...
