ENT Follow-up

The boys had their post operation evaluation this past Thursday. It was originally scheduled for May 10th but I decided to reschedule the appointment since they were in the midst of their virus and did not want to take the risk of infecting other children. In any event, what I thought was going to be a quick check up (as I was told) turned into an hour and a half appointment. Yikes. They boys had a follow-up hearing test, check-up with Dr Jakobsen, and they were fitted for custom ear plugs. They passed with flying colors and Dr J could not be happier with the results---Mommy and Daddy are too! I am happy about the custom ear plugs because they will be getting official swimming lessons shortly and so we will not have to worry at all about water irritation.

I usually do not capture photos at appointments because Steve and I are generally following the boys around echoing, please don't touch, stay out of that, not ours, etc. :) In light of our appointment starting at 5pm and not ending until 6:30, the boys did a fantastic job and did not complain once. In fact they were well behaved and listened to everything the doctors asked of them. Here are some kodak moments of our boys and what we hope was their last visit for a long time.

We are proud of them and happy they are feeling so much better!

Jack was already seen by Dr J but Zach wanted Jack to be with him. I know...sweet.

Thank you, Dr. J. You were terrific with our boys.

Interesting process

Dr Sara, Audiologist (She conducted the hearing test and fitting for ear plugs)

Jack's turn...big boys they both were

Dr. Sara put the foam on their arm so they could see how it felt to take it off their skin (Note. kids were not harmed in the process...:))

All done...ear plugs are sent directly to our house and we will see them in two weeks. Just in time for Nana and Papa!

Way to go boys.....

Love,

Julie
