Our weekend is off to a BIG start. Whoa! For starters Jack woke up slightly early for a weekend but that was fine because he snuggled with Mama and Dada for an hour. No complaints from this Mama. :) Zach on the other hand I think could have slept in until who knows when if Steve didn't go in to see how he was doing as we were just a little curious. Just figures he was tired. We tend to give the boys something special for breakfast on the weekends. Today it was cinnamon rolls. Delicious. All 4 of us eventually got ready and headed out for the morning. The boys love getting out of the house as we do so it was great. The boys are about a week away from starting school so we are working on getting them ready for their big day. It is okay that I am already feeling a little nervous? Is this normal? :) I am happy yet nervous and I know they will do good, but like everyone mom in this situation it is a big deal, right? So we started with haircuts today and they did so well! Our stylist Dena kept saying how good they were, in fact all the kids getting haircuts did a great job. We kept her name because Steve and I personally think she did a much a better job than the lady from the previous trip. At the end of the sessions they each got a sucker for being their best. I have to say this was the first time they experienced a sucker. :) I was surprised at how well they did, as if they had suckers before. hmmm?

We soon made our way out of the mall and Steve mentioned to me there was an event in town and that we could do a drive by to check it out...perhaps try and get up close and personal. MONSTER JAM in Anaheim. I was so excited for the boys. We got closer to the stadium and sure enough they were getting the "pit area" ready for the fans. As we could see the trucks from the freeway all we hear from the boys is
WHOA with some big smiles
. The security guard was nice to let a few us in without paying to park so we could get near the fence and look at all the trucks. Some trucks were still arriving and we were not able to see a lot of the ones we see on T.V. but we got to see a few in particular...yep, Diggy as the boys call the truck. For those that are not in tune with Monster Trucks it would be Grave Digger. There are a couple of versions of this truck and got to see them all. Awesome. I guess we didn't plan this day as good as we thought because we could have purchased the pit passes to see them very up close and personal, but already made plans to celebrate Valentine's tonight instead of on Tuesday. I am sure they will be back again soon. :)

We were home in time for lunch and Jack must have been really hungry because he ate everything on his plate and I tend to pile it on anyway. I usually have the 'eyes are bigger than the stomache" syndrome. He kept wanted more and more: strawberries, corn, and pb&j with orange pudding and then got a carrott cupcake that Karley had made on Friday. Yum. It is not that often he clears his plate for Mama and Dada. Our Zach did great too although left a couple of pieces of his pb&j. :) It is amazing how much they do feed off one another.
Brian, Tiffany, and Baby Reese are coming over for dinner Sunday late afternoon and we are looking forward to their visit.
Love,
Julie
