What a weekend we are having thus far! Steve and I were off on Friday and so we took the boys to the Great Irvine Railroad after running a few errands. The park was decorated for Christmas and I am sure it would have been so much better going in the evening to see the park lit up, but it was nice going when we did since there was hardly anyone there. We could have literally rode the train 20 times if we wanted without standing in line. I know what it was like at Halloween so I could only imagine what the park would look like just days before Christmas. As soon as we got to the park we got on the train. We were able to sit up front near the conductor---super cool. As we were exiting the gate the conductor asked if they were twins and after responding with a big fat yes he quickly replied, "awesome, I am twin but I have a sister"! :) Jack and Zach just stared and said, "umm okay", which is their favorite saying. Every so often Jack will say...ummmm and both will always excitedly say...OKAY. Too darn cute. They are getting so much better talking and you can telll they both are trying VERY hard to put words together! After the train ride we took the boys on their FIRST pony ride. They had such an awesome time and listened carefully since they never rode on something that to them was a GIANT dog. HA. We opted not to visit the zoo, which is just a few minutes beyond the park since it was getting really close to lunch. After we rode Aspen and Freddy we got back on the road and went to McDs for lunch. The didn't have any booster seats so they sat in big boy chairs and did very well. Hmmm, Big Boy seems to be the theme for this weekend. I will post about that later! Steve is off the week after Christmas and even though Allergan is closed on a few days, I decided to take a couple of extra days as Uncle Gregg will be visiting. Here is our slideshow of our day at the Great Irvine Railroad.
Love,
Julie
