Temecula

Saturday I went into Temecula. Steve was gracious to stay behind to take care of the boys. They helped their Daddy finish up the Christmas lights display and did some grocery shopping! Temecula is known as wine country in Southern California! I have never experienced anything like this before so it was great to have the opportunity to go.  We started at Stuart Cellars, had lunch at South Coast Winery, which was EXCELLENT, stopped at Wilson Creek, and then made our way to Weins Winery as our last stop. Wow. What a trip and thankfully Steve’s dad was our “DD”. [Insert here: A special thank you to him for taking care of us]. Each winery offers either 5 or 6 tastings and what was neat is there were quite a few wines you could select from depending on what you enjoy; whites, reds, or sparkling wine. It was about 4ish and we decided to call it the day since I wanted to get back and help Steve. I am glad we left when we did because it took longer to get home.  On the way home, Steve’s dad drove through Old Town Temecula and it reminded me of Long Grove, IL. I definitely would like to spend a weekend in Temecula since there appears to be so many fun things to do! We all had a fun evening, the boys were excited to see Mama and they had a great day with Dada. That evening we ordered pizza and then Steve’s family decided to part ways since his brother had an early flight.  After we tucked the kiddos in bed, Steve and I decided to take advantage of the crisp evening and sit on our patio.

What another great day!
