Steve and I generally wait to decorate for the Christmas holiday the day after Thanksgiving. Now that we have the kiddos, decorating takes a little longer than just one day. I remember when the kids were 6 months old and we were decorating the house for Christmas. I put them in their high chair with toys and moved them around the house with us. Now...COMPLETELY different story. Mama and Dada....lights, lights, lights. That followed by unraveling the bottom string of lights from the Christmas tree. I could only imagine what they will try to do when we are not home as I cannot keep a lot of things in arms reach. I hope Karley has eyes on the back of her head. :) I am most excited to begin our holidays (but certainly do not want to rush it) Not to mention we didn't really decorate at all last year because we were in the apartment and ALL of our things were back in Fox Lake. I mentioned this year was going to be a hit. We started decorating today and are just about done. I am waiting for our stockings to arrive and we just have to put the ornaments on the tree. Steve will hang up the outdoor lights next weekend. We have some neat ideas with the huge palm trees; should be different! :) I just have some last minute final touches to add but I am sure that will always be the situation as I get fresh decorating ideas!
Here is a preview us transforming our home into Christmas!
