Saturday Morning Excursion

Steve and I are looking forward to a nice long holiday weekend. Karley does not return until Tuesday and Steve's parents have to get back to Chicago to finish packing and so that leaves us to take one more day off leaving us with a 4 day weekend. *Hopefully the next few days don't go like it did 15 minutes before lunch today. :)

The boys slept in a little longer this morning and so did we! Steve helped his dad for a bit this morning and when he returned he took over from breakfast so I could get cleaned up a little. I am not certain if it made the news back in Chicago but surf is high the past couple of days and we thought lets take the kiddos to San Clemente Pier to check it out. We were there by 9:45am and it certainly is looking like it will be just a lovely weekend, perfect temps...again. We heard something new today as we walked by an older man. He said, "they must be related"! LOL...never heard that before. :) In any event, yep, surf is up and the beaches were already crowded by the morning. Amazing. I tried to snap a few pics of the waves crashing in, but of course to see it in person is so much better! Enjoy.

When we got home the boys decided they wanted to help Daddy clean the cars. I am glad they enjoyed themselves because I was able to sneak away to get ready for the day! :)
