Helper Bees

I love that the boys enjoy helping Daddy around the yard. There is one day over the weekend that we dedicate to doing yard work and taking care of the house, meaning laundry, picking up, you name it and today was the day! We had so much to do. But first thing first...Nana and Papa are officially CA residents. They arrived just in time for dinner Saturday. We met them at Los Patios Saturday evening for dinner. We told the boys that they would be there but since we have been talking about them all week I don't think they really comprehended they would be at Los Patios. :) Of course leave it to me to forget the camera at home. Ugh. In any event we walked in and the boys were so excited to see them almost as if they couldn't believe their eyes! We are so thankful to have them living by us now.  Let's pray the moving truck arrives on Thursday as planned. Steve and I are also looking forward to going back to Chicago in just one month to see more family!

Well, as noted, today was "house" day. Steve cleaned up the yard and trimmed more bushes and trees. The boys love to help! I always try to take a moment to peak on everyone but since I was so busy taking care of the inside before lunch that I didn't really take a whole lot of pictures. I was able to snap a few of Steve and the boys taking a break. :)

Just as I was done making the boys lunch: mac and cheese, oranges/pineapple, and corn, I look over and see them reading together...talking. Melt my heart! They are doing such a GREAT job with the ABCs and pictures. Karley has been working with them every day since her return and I am so proud of our boys! We are very lucky to have good natured boys. I know some days are torture but hey what do you expect when you have toddlers. They amaze me with all they can do. For example, they know not to walk in the house with shoes. I hear little voices and I look over as they walk upstairs..no shoes on. They took them off just before they came in and just helped themselves upstairs. One moment Jack was switching shoes. I walked into the laundry room to see him sitting on the floor, taking his socks off and then put them in their laundry basket. Jack then goes outside to the garage and puts his red crocs on without me helping! So big they are! Sniff Sniff.

We have enjoyed our weekend and are always looking forward to the week ahead! We also love this time of season...football season that is!

Love,

Julie
