Life with Jack & Zach: Doggies + Johnny Rockets = Heaven

I was going through pictures and realized that I forgot to post about what we did last weekend. Yikes. When we lived in the apartment we were much closer to many of the larger retail establishments, like the Irvine Spectrum...huge mall with so many shops. One shop in particular is a pet store that is always crowded. We decided to take the boys last Saturday because we have not been in such a long time. Plus they love doggies. Since the weather in the past week has been dreary (but I love it as it reminds me of Chicago) that it does not clear up until Noon. That is okay because we make the best of it. We got to the pet store just as they were opening. Right away the dogs were up and making noise, which is music to the boys' ears! They certainly love watching them wrestle and lick the cage. The only downfall is that customers are allowed to bring their own pets in and so we are sometimes hesitant on letting the boys run around since we don't know how certain dogs will react. I am sure it is fine otherwise I would hope the owners would not even bring their dogs into the store but you just never know! On our way around the store we stopped to looked at the birds and hampsters. I had to stand in disbelief. I said to Steve either the hampster is sleeping really good or he didn't make it over the night. Just as I said that one of the hampsters ran over it and I said, so okay it appears he didn't make through the night. Very sad. RIP...!

After the pet store it was getting closer to lunch. The mall has a lot of kid friendly establishments...that we love! We took the boys to Johnny Rockets! The last time I went to a JR was on our Caribbean Cruise just befor we got married. Hey..perfect time to slip in ALMOST 8 years ago next weekend. :) They had one on our ship. The boys got one of their favorite meals and chocolate milk. Can you say heaven! They colored for a little bit before lunch was served. They were well mannered and so good as always!
