This was my last night alone with the boys. I was bummed because Steve's flight was due to take off at 5:30 for an arrival at our house by 7:15ish just in time to help with bath. Due to the fog in SF his flight kept getting canceled or delayed. So, he was not expecting to get home until 10:30ish or so. I got home slightly early because Karley was going home to Oregon this weekend for 2 bridal showers. Traffic going home was crappy so I was a little later than normal and should have just taken the toll road as planned. In any event, since this was my last night with the boys I packed them up and we went to McDonald's. :) I got them happy meals with chocolate milk for a treat. Boy were they in heaven. They have not been eating as much so I probably could have just got one, but it would not have been the same. I have heard that when kids turn 2 that they will slow down and not eat quite as much as they normally do. We came home to eat our special meal. I had Panda Express...:) Tuesday night was a bit of a nail biter and I thought they were setting the tone for the rest of the week. They were very good for me. In fact, they were in tune with me starting after dinner. Zach is my big helper and will help clean, put toys away. After bath they both came running into the room and laid down next to each other so I could tag team them...putting diapers on, lotion, and jammies. Thank you love bugs for making the rest of the week smooth sailing. I am looking forward to this weekend. I am hoping we can sneak in beach time, but most importantly my love bugs have become snuggle bugs again. Lately we have been enjoying morning milk in Mommy and Daddy's bed watching sprout. They crawl under the covers making sure their feet are tucked in. Although I loved the moments they would wake up a little early and fall back to sleep in our bed and not sure if those moments will resurface, but snuggling in bed for a bit in the morning over the weekend is another topper. My snuggle bugs are back! Here are some moments of them enjoying McD's.
