We decided to incorporate pizza night every Wednesday. Steve and I had a weekly tradition when we lived in Chicago where we met a group of our friends at
Fanella's every Wednesday for pizza [or burgers]. We know that it will be some time before we can find a crowd of people to hang out since our move to California. We also know that it will never be the same, just different memories we are making. That said Steve came up with the idea of us just ordering pizza every Wednesday with the boys…that we did, but for our first time we just cooked a frozen pizza (hey it was DiGiorno) and will order next week. :) After pizza on Wednesday we decided to take a cruise over to Steve’s parent’s house since I have not been inside yet. The boys for some reason were so hyper running all over, checking to see if the doors worked properly :), checking out the cabinets, etc. We showed the boys the room they will sleep in should they stay the night at Nana and Papa’s and they were a hoot and holler. The walls are decorated with the Disney Pixar Car’s decals and they were just running around tapping the walls screaming excitedly. It was great to see them so excited. Karley then sent me a text Thursday morning indicating she heard they were so hyper the night before and it paid off because they didn’t wake up until 8:30am. Jack is starting to feel better, actually ate very good at dinner Wednesday night.
Steve and I have been back to enjoying date night every Friday. Monica stops by around 5:15 to let Karley go so that way we do not have to make our way home just to make another transition. At times the boys go through a phase where they will cry a little as we leave. The good thing is that it only will last a short bit and then back to playing. This way the transition from Nanny to babysitter works great. Since Monica is our neighbor the boys will see her often if we are all outside. Last weekend we went to one of my favorite places, Houstons'. We would go once a week when we lived at the Apartment. Since it is right down the block from where we both work, it is nice so we can spend a little extra time and not have to sit in traffic. Last night we went to The Next Door since we have not been in some time. We just had so much going on, but felt good getting back into a routine. Since we have some flexibility whether we leave work early or not, we tend to make it our goal on Fridays so we can still make it home to snuggle with the boys and put them to bed. :) One of my favorite moments of the day is checking on them after they are sleeping. I could pull up a chair and just stare at them for hours on end. I cover them up and push the stuffed animals off to the side, followed by a pat on the butt. Heehee.
I was so happy this morning. We got to have Snuggle Saturday with the boys again! I love it!!! Afterwards we made our way downstairs to play for a little bit, and then eat our cereal with big boy spoons. We then skyped with Grandma Smith. The boys had a good time 'seeing' her and we cannot believe that it has been 3 weeks just about. Steve and I packed the boys up this morning and headed over to Nana and Papa's house to drop some tools off and such. This way he can start doing some work a little at a time. The boys had a good time helping Daddy unpack the Tahoe and bring all the necessary items inside. They even brought their lawnmowers over to mow the lawn for Papa. wink wink. Shortly after, their neighbor Doug, who also works with Steve (yep...small world) stopped by after his 2 hour bike ride--goodness. He brought his wife, April, by to see the boys. We enjoy the time we are able to hang out...they are good people and I am sure we will see a lot more of them. As noted before, we also have something in common...twin boys! :) The neighborhood reminds me of ours where everyone just stops by to introduce themselves. They already know who we are...:) I have to say that Jack is starting to feel so much better. He ate everything,
everything on his plate at lunch; peas, pineapple, and his half of the grilled chesse. Zach did good too, although left some of peas. Ahem. We would give them a little snack by mid morning but lately they are so busy playing that they don't need it like they once did, which is good.
This time I didn't forget to bring my camera inside so I was able to snap some kodak moments of the boys running around. It will feel good to have family nearby, again. Steve's parents will be visiting here and there over the next few months and then move in officially by end of September. I also included some video of the boys from this morning. Steve and I get such a kick out of watching them play with their leaf blowers. They mimick Steve so gosh darn good. HA. Enjoy! Sun is out and the temperture is perfect! What a fabulous weekend so far.

Here are some videos from today!
Boys having a blast with their leaf blowers!
I had to laugh because at the end of the video, Zach starts freaking out about something. I looked behind me and the previous owners did not really 'clean' and left some things. There was a craft of some sort where the boy took half an egg carton, painted it frog green and put eyes on the front. Not sure what the heck it was, but I don't think Zach was a fan of the craft. HA.
Until Next Time...
