New Thingamajigs

Steve and I went a little crazy over the past couple of weeks buying some new things for the boys. We were both off this past Monday and since we had Karley for the day, we thought we could take advantage of the day and ahem...get some things accomplished.

The weekend before I took the boys with me to Target, they did a great job of course. They love getting out, in fact it is so hard to get them back inside the house if we are out playing. While out visiting one of our favorite stores I got them a new pair of shoes. I have had my eye on these black converse shoes since we moved here.

(We also got them new flip flops a month ago, although they need to grow into them a bit---they love walking around the house listening to the sounds of "flip flop")

This past Monday we decided to stop at Babies R Us to look at strollers. We instantly bypassed the concept of finding a less cumbersome dual stroller. C'mon people...$240-$300 for a stroller...what is it made of...gold? It is amazing that people don't even blink an eye to make these purchases.  It was one thing to get our multifunctional stroller we have now because of the car seats (obviously we no longer need), but we just wanted something for them to sit up in vs using the wagon all the time. Geesh. Moving on, we found ourselves in the mindset of no longer a thought since we have the wagon for long walks and their umbrella strollers for when we are out and about. Additionally most stores have the dual seat grocery cart and since we have just the dynamic duo that would work out just fine! In any event, we found ourselves at Toys R Us checking out some new things for boys. See below!

New picnic table. They have snack time outside most days and so this comes in handy! Daddy helping his little boy Jackson get adjusted.

Their own little mini wagon. They always want to push their big boy wagon and on a few attempts they were almost toppled over by a wagon on the move. We thought they would have a blast...I think they are?!

Their own table/chairs set. They love it! They play with their Elmo Laptops, read books, and have evening milk as we settle down. They like to put their bins flipped over in front of the window so they can see out, and they have been using their chairs in place of their bins. Yep, not so much. As soon as I say, do you want me to put the chairs in time out they instantly sit down. They obviously know better!
Until next time! Next on the agenda...haircuts!
