There were activities for kids, swimming, and entertainment. It was actually a fun time. We started off the evening by learning how to open a coconut from a Samoan :). Jack has been very outgoing, willing to always explore and try new things and watches intensely with a serious expression. Zach takes a little longer getting comfortable in front of a large crowd these days but when he does that smile appears and just has a lot of fun---doesn't think about anything. After sampling fresh coconut we made our way over to the volleyball court so the kids could play the parachute game. They REALLY loved this game and did a fantastic job. Steve likes to call the site director the cruise director...(hmmm, something on his mind :)) and mentioned the boys did a great job listening to instructions of what to do next. After the parachute game they started to play pass the coconut. Jack even stood in line waiting his turn, but you cannot keep a three year old boy waiting too long. He jumped out of line and I asked if he wanted to play the game with the other children and he said, no thank you Mommy. :) The boys just wanted to roll around in the sand and play with the beach balls and hula hoops. The event ended with Hawaiian Dancers shakin' and movin'!
