DPR: Family and Santa 2011

DPR hosted their annual Family and Santa event on 12/14/2011. It is always so much fun and great to catch up with some of Steve's coworkers. As they did last year there were a few different stations set up for the kids. Those that organize the activities always amaze me because the activities are so much fun for the kiddos. There was a cookie decorating station, which was a big hit...:), tattoo stop, and a craft station where they made reindeers out of candy canes and decorated ornaments.

Last year we basically lived across the street so it was easy for us to meet at home and then get the kids over to the event, but since we live further away we had to be a little creative. Steve and I drove Karley's car to work and then she got the boys ready and met us at my work. It worked out great.

As soon as we made our entrance, everyone was so excited to see Jack and Zach. Shortly after our arrival, Santa makes his grand appearance. Zach was not overly thrilled and was a little fearful of the white bearded man. As soon as they watched other kids sit on Santa's lap and get a toy out of his bag then Jack decided it was safe. Zach looking on then decides to follow his brother's lead. They both did amazingly well and sat on Santa's lap for a little bit. Jack was really excited about his bag of toys that he just kept eyeballing Santa and his bag—probably looking for more toys. HA!

We always have such a good time and will continue looking forward to many more Family and Santa events at DPR. I created a slideshow of our awesome visit. I will post extra pictures once I get them from DPR. In the meantime enjoy our slideshow! I even included a couple of pics from last year. It is amazing how much different the boys look in a matter of one year.
