8 Years

Steve and I celebrated 8 years of marriage on Tuesday October 4th.  We have been together for 13 years! It amazing to think where we started 13 years ago to where we are today. I don't know what we were even thinking about when we were 21 years of age, let alone to think about our future.  Our way of thinking, goals, and priorities certainly do change the older we get. As with most couples in relationships, we do dream about what the future looks like, and you learn to take one day at a time. With that you evolve as people and build memories. That said I don't know if when we first got married that we saw ourselves living in California with twin boys!

Steve sent me beautiful colored roses to work. Since they didn't arrive until around 4:30 that day (thanks to the mailroom), I brought them home for all to enjoy! We were able to get out last weekend; Friday and Saturday and that is when we celebrated. On Friday we went to Zona's near our house and had a good time unwinding from the week. Saturday we went to Roy's in Newport Beach and had a lovely time. Steve's parents watched the boys both nights and thankful they were able to since they were trying to unpack and get settled as much as they could before leaving on their cousin's trip. We appreciated it!! I took some pics via phone but they did not turn out the best due to the lighting.

After dinner at Roys we went downtown San Clemente and stopped at Fisherman's on the Pier for a night cap! It was a cool, crisp yet beautiful evening and were able to get a table on the wall under the heater lamps.

Fisherman's .... it was low tide
Certainly as each year passes our love for each other grows stronger. I look forward to the future, asking ourselves...what is next?!

Love,

Julie
