Happy Birthday Steve

There has been so much fun activity with family staying with us and prepping for the boys' 2nd birthday that there has not been a lot of time in the evening to update the blog as we wanted to spend as much as time with everyone before the visits came to an end.  That said before too much time sneaks by, I wanted to post about Steve turning 34!

One June 1st, we celebrated his 34th birthday by going out to dinner with his parents and Aunt Phyl. Each year he gets to decide where to go for the "special" dinner. Since this is his first birthday in CA, he decided to go to Gulfstream in Newport Beach for a lovely dinner. Yum. We would go more often when we lived in the apartment, but now we are not as close unless we go right from work.

The theme for his birthday present this year was aparently golf. As noted in a prior post he wanted a new set of clubs, which he got in addition to a new bag and miscellaneous accessories.

While my mom was in town, she then took him out to our local hangout, Next Door, for dinner to continue the birthday celebration. It was a great time, and of course good food.

I am sure "our" birthdays will get even more exciting as the boys' get older as they begin to understand the meaning of "celebrations".

Steve, we hope you had one fabulous year! It was filled with excitement coupled with bittersweet memories for sure. Since June 1, 2010, the boys started walking, talking a lot more, you got a new job, and we moved out of state. We look forward to what this year will bring as we are already off to a good start, building upon new memories. You do so much for the boys and think about them ALL the time as if no one else exists---I love that.

Below is the boys' photo shoot, wishing Daddy a very Happy Birthday!

(Jack reminds me of Chandler in the Friend's episode where he is having a difficult time smiling whenever someone takes his picture...HAHA!)
