My Special Weekend!

Thank you to Steve and my wonderful boys, for making my weekend EXTRA special. My weekend started with Saturday. I got a bouquet of roses, mixed red and white. We then went to Los Patios to enjoy a great Mexican feast, yummy.

It is always great fun to be able to spend time with the boys over the weekend. My time with them is limited in the evening, so we try to make the most of it come the weekends.  I do enjoy being a working mom, I get the best of both worlds, doing what I love day and night in addition to being able to provide financially to the family so that we can continue to do great and exciting things with the boys.

Being a MOM brings me a lot of joy, and I have also learned a lot along the way. I find myself saying at times, okay...I get it; I know what my mom was implying all these years. What I mean is that you try so hard to be a strong, nurturing mom to your children, working hard around the clock, and sometimes this brings stress, emotional stress; always wondering are they getting enough to eat, drinking plenty of milk, if I put them in separate rooms will they NAP better during the day :), should we be giving them vitamins, I don't think they should be doing that---what if they get hurt, the guilt of should I stay home with them vs working a full time job, should I have been upset with them the other day for being naughty boys, the guilt of not always being able to give 100% after a stressful day in the office, the thought of was it me that caused them to be born 7 weeks early, am I too hard on them, do I give them more than enough love and ensuring my love is balanced between the boys, and most of all...am I good Mom? I think all of us moms might have bounced around a similar thought or two. At the end of the day, I am as good of a Mom as I can be and take one day at a time.  I might not have 1000 photos of them plastered everywhere, I might have missed a tip or two along the way when they were babies---the list can go on and on. At the end of they day, I might not be perfect, but all that matters to me is that my boys think I am.

Jackson and Zachary, I am proud to spend this EXTRA special weekend with you. Thank you for my cards, roses, and the most precious sign (I know Daddy helped--that is still one of my many favorite pics from when you were around 9 months). I enjoyed having a lazy day, bumming around the house, playing, rolling around, and loving on you! I will use my time to shop and get pampered in the weekend ahead!

This was in each card with some money so I can do a little shopping in Downtown SC...and no it is not actually from their piggy bank...:)

Thank you to the beautiful women in my life that experience the blessings of Motherhood, providing me with all the love and support, guidance, and advice on raising children. I have very much enjoyed my "Special Weekend".

Love,

Julie
