Talented Artist

DPR had a Santa event for family on December 15th. Since Steve has been off of work remodeling our house, we have yet to get our hands on some of the pictures taken of that day, like trying to get the boys to sit on Santa's lap---not happening this year. The boys got to see Santa up close and personal this day, which was nice that we didn't have to stand in long lines.

(We were also fortunate that we didn't have to do that for their 1st Christmas because Santa found us at Grandma and Grandpa Helland's house...remember this kodak moment below???)

In any event I hope to attach some of the pics from that day soon. DPR did such a wonderful job. They had stations set up around the office; ornament and cooking making/designing.  We decided to forego the cooking design station since it was geared for older children; although we did sample a cookie. :) The boys did get their first DPR ornament and we look forward to many more. I met some other co-workers that Steve works closely with; all very nice people. The ladies in the office did a great job with the snacks and making sure someone was taking pictures so the parents did not have to worry about that!

Here comes Santa...and did Santa get the look of "who the heck are you"? You could tell Jack and Zach were curious but were hesitant on sitting on his lap. Santa was easy going that he just decided to let the boys take a toy from his bag. They got a football and a stuffed penguin, apparently named Santa Claus. :) Whenever we ask J and Z where Santa Claus is at, they go running into their room and bring us the stuffed penguin. :) So very sweet! They obviously are trying to connect the stuffed animal to SC!

All the kids did receive a goody bag to bring home. We ended up having to toss 75% of it away because the boys are too young for some of the toys. However, we did keep the Kazoos, which they love playing. I think we have some muscians in the house! I tried very fast to whip out the camera to record the boys in action, but too late. They both were sitting on the diaper box dangling their feet playing the kazoo. By the time I was ready to record, I only got one---story of my life! :) Here is a very short clip...ENJOY!

Love to all...
